Dawn of Disease reveal cover artwork and tracklist of the new album!

More brutal, more details, more melodic and much more aggressive…

Germany´s death metal institution Dawn of Disease will put out their second album in April this year. The new (Sweden) Death Metal bulldozer has been named „Crytps of the Unrotten“ and features all the strong trademarks the band is known for, and more. Compared to their last effort „Legends of Brutality“ the new album is much stronger in the wake of songwriting, melodies and also its production, which was done once again in Soundlodge Studio with Jörg Uken (God Dethroned, Dew-Scented, Sinister…).

„After recording our debut album in Soundlodge it was clear to us to go there again, since we had been very happy with how it turned out the first time. Jörg is a great guy and this time we had much more time to record and all than last time.“ DAWN OF DISEASE

The concept behind the record are the huge crypts on Sicily, near Palermo, where hundreds of mummies lie buried.

„Our guitar player Lukas „dug up“ the topic and the atmosphere as well as the stories around all those „Crypts“ have both fascinated and influenced us as a band. It´s the main theme of the album and also refers to it unmistakable in the album title.“ DAWN OF DISEASE

Dawn of Disease were originally founded in the end of 2003. One year later the MCD "Through Bloodstained Eyes", which was sold out after a short time, was released via Unstoppable Media. The Swedish sound is a huge influence on the quintet. Dawn Of Disease are able to combine subliminal melodies with extreme hardness. Rapid blastbeats, pounding doublebasses and a perfect interaction of the guitars conglomerate to a killing mixture. The vocals, that are between dark growlings, aggressive screams and in-your-face shoutings complete the songs.

On April 27 the brutal monster that is „Crypts of the Unrotten“ will be unleashed as a limited digi pak with bonus track! Equipped with a killer production their highly aggressive death metal will plunge right in your face!

On Saturday we had our photo session for the upcoming album.
Again we made the photos with Olaf from Famouzphotographs (http://www.famouzphotographs.com/) and it all went quite well.

We tried out some settings and locations and the results look really great!

Hey everyone!

The production of our forthcoming album "Crypts Of The Unrotten" is soon to be finished!
By the end of this week we will have the master version and the new cover.

During the next weeks we will reveal the cover and the tracklist.
Sound and look of the new CD will be really amazing!

On Saturday we will have a photo shoot for new band- and promopics.
And at the moment we are of course preparing for the next show which is already next Friday!

Studi Blog Day 18 - Recordings finished!

Heyyyy!

Yesterday Tomasz completed the last vocals and right now we are finished with all recordings!

Evil Invader Tomasz!

Now it is Jörgs turn to mix and master the new album.
He will start the week after next as he is on a plane to America just in this moment in order to visit the cruise of 70,000 Tons of Metal. What a lucky guy!

On monday we will start preparing for our next show which is on 17th February in Bastard Club Osnabrück.

Studio Blog Day 16 - More vocals

Studio Blog Day 15 – Guitars finished!

Hey DoD-maniacs!

Olli and Lukas finished all guitar tracks!
Today the last overdubs and solos were finished.

Guitars on fire!

Together with Jörg we figured out some nice melodies and solos and now the recording of instruments is over.
From now on there are only some vocals left.
Tomorrow will be a day-off and on Wednesday Tomasz will continue to contribute his brutal death metal voice to the album.

Studio Blog Day 14 - Recording first vocals

Today we recorded the first vocals.
After some tests Tomasz started recording the first tracks.
It sounds really great and evil! And it perfectly goes with the songs!

We are good in time and if all wents well we will be finished with everything at the end of the week.

Studi Blog Day 13 - Recording the bass

Hello from the Soundlodge!

On this Saturday we recorded the bass.
Within only a half day Michael recorded all bass tracks.
That is simply unimaginable and by this he gets the award "fastest track recorder"!
Fast - faster - Michael, he really did a great job.

Tomorrow we will start recording the vocals. Tomasz is already preparing like mad to finish the album with his killer death metal voice!

Studio Blog Day 12- Overdubs and first solos

Today we made some of the last overdubs and started with the solos.
The material really starts to become a well-sounding form!

Tomorrow on saturday our bassplayer Michael will record the bass and on sunday Tomasz starts with the vocals.

Hungry as we were we ate some nice meat. Of course with some hot chili sauce. It was really tasty!

Studio Blog Day 11 - Second Guitar

This morning Olli arrived to record his guitar parts.
He directly started and did a very good job.

He finished seven songs in just one day! That is really amazing.
And of course it sounds absolutely great!

After the recordings we filled our fridge with the most important things and right now we are relaxing, drinking some beer and preparing the next songs for tomorrow.

Studio Blog Day 10 - Recording some overdubs

The 10th day of Dawn of Disease being in Soundlodge Studio is over!
Today Lukas recorded some overdubs and melodies.

Unfortunately Olli will not arrive this evening but tomorrow morning.
Nevertheless he will surely totally shred and play like a god!

In addition our bassplayer Michael is already preparing to record his tracks on saturday.
By the way he has a brand new guitar. Check it out ;-D

Studio Blog Day 9 – First guitar tracks finished!

Hell Yeah!

The first guitar tracks are now finished!

Lukas did the remaining six songs today and all went quite well.

Tomorrow there will be some additions to the guitar parts like melodies and other stuff.

Studio Blog Day 8 – First guitar recordings

Hey everyone!

Today Lukas recorded the first five guitar tracks.

Already right now it sounds really amazing. The guitar sound kicks ass, the drums really kill and recording our album has not ended yet! We are having a great time over here!

By the way we have a show announced!

We gonna play a headliner show at the Hate Embraced Record-Release Show in Bastard Club in our headquarter Osnabrück. In this so called Ultimate Hate Night we will burn down the Bastard’s Bar Stage together with Hate Embraced, Nailed To Obscurity and Islay.

Day of doom is 17^th February 2012.

Studio Blog Day 5 - 7 - Soundcheck for guitars and editing drumtracks

Yesterday evening we returned to Soundlodge Studio for some hours to do the guitar soundcheck.
We built up everything we had in order to have a big variety of sound options.


What an accumulation of amps!

After trying out some combinations we finally figured out the best sound.
We will use an Engl Fireball 100 in combination with a Mesa box and a Peavey 6505 with a Marshall 1960 box.

So as you might have realized we are just using pure Death Metal tube sound, no Sansamp, no effects, no digital bullshit!

We promise to deliver a goddamn neckbreaking guitar sound!

Today and tomorrow Jörg will be occupied with editing the drumtracks and on monday Lukas will come to record the first guitar sessions.

Studio Blog Day 4 - Drumtracks finished!

Some minutes ago we finished recording the drumtracks.
Mathias did the last four songs today.

Now we are getting prepared to record the guitars.

Recording “Crypts Of The Unrotten” – Blog Day 3

Today was the third day of recording our forthcoming album “Crypts Of The Unrotten”.

We started with a Death Metal breakfast and went on recording the first track.

It all went quite well and we managed to finish the drums of another four songs.

Mathias really did an amazing job. He recorded more than 8 hours with nearly no break!

What an animal!

After a meat-filled dinner we are now relaxing, having a drink or two and preparing some songs for tomorrow.

Dawn of Disease at Soundlodge Studio – Blog Day 1+2

We entered the Soundlodge Studio right now in order to record our new album which will be released in early summer this year.

Yesterday our drummer Mathias entered the Soundlodge as the first one of us.

After preparing the drumset he already made a soundcheck together with our producer Jörg Uken to safeguard a Death fucking Metal drumsound!

Today guitarist Lukas, who is actually writing right now, joined Mathias in order to support him. We already finished the first three drum tracks today.

Hey DoD-maniacs!

After being very busy during the last weeks we finally have news for you:

First of all we must tell you that that we unfortunately had to cancel the Hatefest Extreme Tour with Kataklysm and Co. due to unforeseen circumstances.

We will be replaced by Lost Dreams from Austria.

But there are also some good news:

As you may have heard we booked the studio for the beginning of next year!

Again we will enter the Soundlodge Studio to record our second full-length album together with Jörg Uken. We are already looking forward to it and you can prepare for a huge portion of Death fucking Metal!

The title of the album will be revealed soon.

Last but not least we are proud to announce that we are confirmed for Extremefest in Germany, Austria and Switzerland next year! It will be really great to share the stage with bands like almighty Cannibal Corpse, Exodus and Nasum.

News from the Death Metal machine!

Hey everyone!

We just finished our last open air show for this year. The Turock Open Air really was a great experience. All was quite well: the show, the other bands, the beer and of course our death metal maniac fans! Thanks to all of you who came out!

Right now we are intensely working on the new album which we will record in January next year. We already have about 8 songs which vary from extreme death metal neckbreakers to more melodic and ass-kicking songs.

Be prepared for a killer album!!!

Beside working on the new album we are getting everything ready for the oncoming Hatefest tour in order to present you a good show. From 2^nd to 18^th December we will enter the clubs in Germany and central Europe.

Unfortunately our show on 3^rd September with Asphyx, Disbelief, Loudblast and Fallen Saints had to be cancelled because the Ballroom in Osnabrück where the show should have taken place is renovated during that time.

Dawn of Disease at Turock Open Air 2011

We have good news for you!

Beside our concert at the Bloodline Festival on 3rd September with Asphyx, Disbelief, Loudblast and Fallen Saints in our hometown Osnabrück we have another show confirmed:

We will play at the Turock Open Air in Essen! In front of the famous metal club at the Viehofer Platz there will be an Open Air stage where the festival takes place.

The date is 16th and 17th September. We will play on Saturday, 17th September.

During one of our rehearsals last week, we prepared everything for the winner of our competition.

We have been looking for the evilest/most brutal/funniest/craziest way of torture and Jan Euteneuer did it by posting the following:

“You sit in a room and must watch your mama have sex with Justin Bieber for hours, while a

endless loop of Rebecca Black's "Friday" is running the whole time. And the only way to

end this is to cut your dick off and down it with warm, french beer.“

In our opinion this would be the worst way of torture with nearly no way to survive.

So lucky Jan will get a Dawn of Disease fan-package from hell, including some useful stuff like

Launch of our weekly blog

Hey DoD-maniacs!

From now on you can follow our weekly blog. Every week we will supply you with news and information about Dawn of Disease. So here is the first one:

This week we started to get into an intensive phase of songwriting. As we have no concerts in July and booked the studio for winter we decided to concentrate on new songs, arrange them and in general work on them. At the moment we are writing many e-mails filled with new songs and ideas for the coming album.

On Saturday Mathias and Lukas met in order to check out some new songs and collect ideas for the drums. During our rehearsal on Monday we worked on two brand-new songs and you can be shure that they are really ass-kicking and brutal as fuck!

Moreover we got some nice, good-looking Noise Art Records shirts from our label.

Back from the mud!

Hey everyone!

We are back from the Death Feast and here is a short report for you:

At about 9 o’clock in the morning we met at our rehearsal room in order to pick up our equipment. Then we started our journey to Hünxe where the Death Feast took place.

The weather was quite good but during our travel on the highway it went worse and worse. It was raining like mad which really sucked. But nevertheless we hoped that it would get better until we arrive.

Unfortunately it did not and the whole location was turning into a huge pit of mud. But that did not worsen our mood because we wanted to play a real kick-ass death metal show regardless of the wheather.

Shortly after our arrival we took a look at the area and ate a small snack. In addition we made some promotion for our show by giving flyer to people and hanging up some poster. Our stagetime was at 3.30 pm and we decided to relax a bit in the backstage tent. However the relaxation was interrupted very soon as we got to know that Resistance, who had to play right before us, cancelled their show. So while By Brute Force were playing their show we had to prepare to go on stage earlier than scheduled.

Fastly we loaded out our equipment and prepared for the show. Sadly there was no opportunity to tell everyone that our stage slot changed so we expected that there would be not that many people in front of the stage. But somehow we were mistaking. As we started our show more and more people came and watched us. It must at least have been 300 or more, which is, regarding the heavy rain, a huge number. We really appreciate that and would like to thank everyone who was that brave to come to our show! Horns up!

The show itself was really great and it was very amusing to see some people wrestling in the mud-pit in front of the stage. It would be really interesting to know how they became clean again, surely the rain did its work.

After the show we talked to some fans who told us that the sound in front of the stage was quite marvellous. That was good to hear.

We fetched us some nice cold beer in order to moisten our dry throats and hungry as we always are, we went to the festival ground and ate a small snack again. Furthermore we met some of our mates from Lay Down Rotten, who were visiting the festival. Some minutes later also members of Sudden Death and The Splatter And Gore Department appeared to chat some few words with us.

Later we looked for some merchandise and also talked to some of our fans. At 6 o’clock in the evening it was dinner time. We sat down in the backstage tent and ate some really delicious food. Afterwards we decided to drive home because the weather was not getting better.

About one and a half hours later we arrived at Osnabrück, put our equipment in the rehearsal room and talked a bit about the day.

In conclusion we can say, that despite the weather we had much fun at the Death Feast, which is mainly due to all of our fans whom the rain could not bother and who gave us good feedback during and after the show. You rule! Thanks to everyone of you!

Metalfest 2011 (Switzerland, Germany, Austria)

Thursday (26.05.2011):

After meeting at our rehearsal room we loaded everything we needed for our short METALFEST-tour into our tour vehicle and started the engines towards Southern Germany. Late at night we arrived in Müllheim, where our hotel was located.

Friday (27.05.2011):

Getting up was just as hard as usual and after having an awesome breakfast we continued our journey with destination Pratteln, Switzerland. As we were not that good in time we only had some few minutes to prepare for the changeover and the soundcheck.

The following show on the open air stage was really great and surprisingly there were some people in front of the stage, although it was around 1.30 pm. That totally rocked and we had a great time on stage.

Afterwards we checked out the whole location, took some pictures and met some of our fans. Soon we got hungry and decided to look for the catering. A very friendly woman who was responsible for the food made us a fresh meal which was one of the tastiest we ever ate.

Filled up with that tasty food we packed in some good Swiss beer and walked to our tour van.

We really would have liked to stay a little longer and to watch some other bands but unfortunately time was short and a long journey lied ahead of us. So we left Pratteln - or at least tried to. Somehow Switzerland did not want us to leave as we were caught in a traffic jam in the city of Basel which took us about an hour. With that delay we hit the road to Eastern Germany. At around 2 o'clock in the morning we arrived at our hotel.

Saturday (28.05.2011):

After a short breakfast we started our ride to Dessau. We took a short break to buy some food and drinks and went into a record store in order to check out if our cd was available. And of course it was! Fortunately stage time in Dessau was in the evening and there was no need to hurry.

Nevertheless we continued to drive to Dessau and after some minutes we were already there. Impressed by the huge festival area we took the time we had to walk around, look for some shirts and make some promotion for our show by hanging up some poster and giving some flyer to the people.

In the afternoon we had a nice meal and at 6 pm our signing session started. Even tough right after us it was Saxon's turn to sign, there where many people interested in talking to us and getting some signed poster and autograph cards. Thanks to all of you who came to us!

Parallel to our signing session Misery Index played an awesome gig which we were able to see from the side. They really kicked ass!

Time went on very quickly and we ended the signing session after about one hour in order to start preparing for the show which should take place on the second stage in the tent.

Some minutes before we ought to be on stage we got the message that Onslaught, who should have been playing right after us, cancelled their show.

This was of course a sad fact but a good chance for us, because we were given the opportunity to start a bit later and play two more songs. So with some minutes delay we started our show. And something happened which we really did not expect: While playing our set the tent became more and more full and the people in front of the stage were going crazy as hell! It must have been at least 1,500 fans celebrating our music! That was an indescribable feeling to play a show in front of such a huge audience. Thanks to each and everyone who was there and supported us! You guys rule!

Filled with adrenaline we left the stage and if there had been the possibility we would played on the rest of the night! Past this successful show we put our equipment in our van and chatted a few words with the Secrets Of The Moon guys, who have been playing the Metalfest in Austria the day before. They told us that the weather down there was very rainy. We hoped that this would change until the next day.

The rest of the evening we spent with having a midnight snack and watching some Saxon. Then we started our trip to Bavaria. It was a pretty long night and at 6 in the morning we arrived at our hotel in Bad Griesbach.

Sunday (29.05.2011):

The "night" was rather short. After only about five hours of sleep we skipped the breakfast and started the day with some nice steaks and schnitzel. That gave us the strength to drive to the festival ground in Austria. And thankfully there was no rain - quite the contrary, the weather was wonderful.

Again due to Onslaught's cancellation our stagetime was delayed and so we took the time to check out the area and look for some merchandise.

In addition we watched some of the other bands. With enough time we prepared for our show which should take place on the tent stage. Inside of the tent there was an unimaginable heat and everyone was sweating like mad! But that did neither stop us from playing an awesome show nor our fans from giving us good feedback! Thank you guys for being with us in

sweat-filled ecstasy!

After the show we needed to cool down and what could help better than some tasty beers? Right, nothing! So we walked to the backstage catering tent and ate some delicious food and drank some cool beer. It was the first time during that weekend we did not have to travel on to another venue. So we could just relax, drink some beer and talk with some other bands. We were really sad that we had to travel back to our hotel, because we would have liked to stay there eternally. But the next day we had to drive back home. However none of us was tired so we partied a bit in one of our hotel rooms, drank some beer, watched some of the videos we made during the weekend and did some beer-can-rolling in the basement garage of the hotel.

Monday (30.05.2011):

Again we had a very short night which was not that bad, because we had to travel back home anyway. We packed in some breakfast from the bufffet and started the journey to Osnabrück. After a long way we arrive late in the evening.

All in all it really was a great weekend and an amazing experience for everyone of us. Thanks to all of our fans who came to our shows, supported us and went crazy!
